ILARIA SANCHO PHOTOGRAPHY

In the early 90's there was one amazing toy for little girls, that so-called "Gira-la-moda" ("Turn Vogue"): a big plastic disc by wich you could create dress-sketches and have fun feeling like a young fashion designer.
I think this is the dawning of my artistic life.
I've always been fashion-addicted and always had a sort of fixation for female body and images, whether these were drawings or pictures, since I was a very young girl.
After the high-school (linguistic courses, not artistic as I wanted) I started working as a shop-assistant and a window-dresser in many clothes shop around my town, but...Dresses and mannequins started fitting me no more: I was not satisfied by the work I has, something was missing.
On October 2010, flying back from London while listening to Stooges songs, I decided my life had to change.
My shots are soaked with all my experiences: vogue, femininity and imagery.
I personally take care of everything for my models: makeup, hairstyle and outfits.
I'm not definetely into talking about my pictures...I like shooting, I like creating and I love contemplating the final result.
Someone said once that a masterpiece is not always supposed to have a meaning...Sometimes art is created just for being admired.
